PUDDING BOWL

WHAT KIND OF NARRATIVE IS USED?
I have applied what I know about Todorov's narrative theory to the short film PUDDING BOWL.

1. A state of equilibrium at the outset- both the little boy and girl are playing quietly by themselves and the mum is in the kitchen doing her own thing.
2. A disruption of the equilibrium by some action- the little boy puts glue in the girls hair and she gets in trouble.
3. A recognition there has been a disruption- the girl gets her hair cut and goes to the mirror and sees it for the first time.
4. An attempt to repair the disruption- she puts tights on her head as a wig and lipstick on so that she looks glamorous and steals the boys bike whilst he is playing
5. A reinstatement of the equilibrium- the girl is happy again as she imagines her self when she is beautiful and older.

HOW IS TIME STRUCTURED?
The time in this short film plays out as though it would in normal life. There is a few elipses within the film, and also there is a flash forward at the end. Other than that thee is no other different time structures.
