BOYCE AVENUE - FIND ME
We watched this video and discussed the social aspirations, demographics and the type of video it was.
I decided that this video would be almost entirely aimed at women who have either broke up with the love of their life, or just found the love of their life. Either way the women watching it will be emotional. There is also some male attractions in this video, for example the fact that every time theres a complicated, interesting instrumental on one of the guitars the camera does an extreme close up of it. Showing that there is a music element too it, almost saying that its okay for men to like this song.
I think that the video will be aimed at women in their late teens early twenties, because this song takes some intelligence to relate too. You need to have lived a little to be able to relate to what their singing about. A 11 year old girl isn't really going to understand.
The video is a performance video mainly, but also has a side narrative story like most performance videos have. The woman in the narrative isn't hot like in many dance videos and she doesn't really exude sex appeal. However she is pretty and has a caring man by her side which is what many women will be looking for.
Its probably an indie rock genre, and is pretty obviously a power ballad.

CHARLIE SIMPSON - PARACHUTE
This video has many different aspects too it. It is partly a performance video because of the fact that he is singing along to the song throughout the entire song. It also plays the part of a narrative video as well as some of the parts of the video play on what the lyrics say and it very loosely tells a story. However it also is concept as well because of the billboard aspect and some of the things that he does doesn't really relate to anything.
Again, similarly to the previous video I think this music video is mainly aimed at women in their late teens early twenties. However there is more of an appeal to the male demographic in this video as in some like could be about a man apologising by giving a girl some flowers and it making everything okay, which is what many men look for.
This video appeals to women as a lot of women look for the man they've been hurt by to apologise for everything they've done, which in some way this is what this song is saying.
Again you need to have lived a before you can fully understand what this video is trying to say, you need to have been hurt and let down or you wont really get the impact the video is supposed to be putting across.
I think this video is again probably indie rock because of the intense guitar playing through the entire video, and the "cool guy" aspect it has throughout.
